Items on the Consent Calendar are considered routine and will be voted on in one motion unless a Council member or member of the public has a question or wishes to discuss an item. In that case, the item will be removed from the Consent Calendar and considered separately.

  1. Approve the following meeting minutes:

City Council Closed Session Meeting of July 1, 2019

City Council Open Session Meeting of July 1, 2019

  1. Approval to pay invoices of previously budgeted expenses on July 16, 2019
  2. Approval of disbursements in the amount of $148,867.87 on July 5, 2019 for payroll, inclusive of employee salaries, employer and employee taxes and retirement contributions, miscellaneous voluntary employee deductions
  3. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
  4. Consideration to waive the second reading and adopt Ordinance No. 856 rezoning the following properties: 

Assessor’s Parcel Nos. 056-640- 26, 27, 28, & 29, from Limited Manufacturing (ML) to General Commercial (CG) and 056-650-16 from General Commercial (CG) to Limited Manufacturing (ML)

  1. Consideration to waive the second reading and adopt Ordinance No. 857 amending Title 17, Zoning Ordinance Chapters 17.22, Tourist and Administrative Zone (CO), 17.24, Commercial Zone (C), 17.26, General Commercial Zone (CG), and 17.60, Uses permitted by Use Permit allowing additional retail uses in the CO zone and establishing consistency of permitted and conditional uses between the C and CG zone districts
  2. PUBLIC HEARINGS
  3. Consideration to waive the first reading and introduce Ordinance No. 858 approving a Development Agreement with The Bract House LLC to allow a medicinal cannabis dispensary at 10 Calaveras Street
  4. NEW BUSINESS
  5. Consideration to adopt an update to the Memorandums of Understanding for the Sonora Employees’ Association, Sonora Fire Fighters’ Association and Sonora Management Employees’ Association
  6. Consideration to adopt Resolution No. 07-15-2019-A approving updated salary schedules for the Sonora Employees’ Association, Sonora Fire Fighters’ Association, Sonora Management Employees’ Association and City Administrator
  7. Consideration to adopt an update of the Injury Illness Prevention Program
  8. Consideration and direction to Staff regarding funding for portable toilets
