The 34th Annual Historic Downtown Sonora Christmas Parade will take place this Friday, November 24th at 6 pm. The Parade starts at the Historic Red Church and follows Washington Street down to Restano Way. Historic downtown Sonora shines so beautiful on parade night. all the decorations are hung and sparkling, the streets are lined with families and visitors alike.
Before the parade The Great Mother Lode Brass and Reed band and Lucky CuZn’s will be playing Christmas carols for all to join in or just to enjoy.
For those folks out to enjoy this family fun event. This night-time parade is sure to get you in the holiday mood. All entries are festively decorated, and Christmas carols fill the air. Our local radio personalities will be announcing each entry as they go by. As an added feature the Holly Trolly will be making it’s rounds and parade goes can ride free of charge. After the parade Santa will be making his way through the streets of Historic downtown Sonora visiting little ones, taking pictures and of course spreading that holiday cheer. Merchants hold open houses with goodies and extended shopping hours and two holiday craft faires are going on too. The Hometown Crafter’s Craft Faire is at the Sonora Opera Hall, located at 250 S. Washington St. and Fire on the Mountain Christmas Festival is at the Mother Lode Fair Grounds, located at 220 South Gate Dr. click here for more information on this event.
