On July 23, 2018, a public Open House was held at City Hall for community members, residents and business owners to review the Stockton-Washington Corridor downtown Transit & Accessibility Concept Plans 1 & 2. The project seeks to place transit stops on either Stockton Street or S. Washington Street, with additional pedestrian and signal improvements along the streets and at the intersection. The Concept Plans are available, upstairs in the Community Development Department at City Hall, 94 N. Washington Street, Sonora, CA until July 31, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. You are welcome to come in and view both locations, and submit your comments for each location. A voting sheet will be available for location, materials and signage.
At the August 6th City Council Meeting, Council members will consider the two location options and give direction to City staff, based on public input received by July 31st. The materials and signage will be considered at the August 20, 2018 City Council Meeting.
